Letters of Condolence or Support

Letters

Dear William:

You have my deepest sympathy on the death of your dad. I know how important he was in your life and your care and support during these last few years must have brought him great comfort. Your relationship was quite special and while this makes the loss so very painful, I do believe that your  closeness and warm memories will bring you comfort. Know that I am thinking of you and your dad.

Fondly,

Marie

Dear Liza:

Words cannot express the deep sadness I have felt ever since I learned of Larry’s death. I have been trying to think of something I might say that would bring you comfort. My thoughts keep coming back to the evening we shared last May. I remember watching the two of you dance and despite the difference in your heights, the two of you moved as one, with such grace and elegance. When I think of Larry it is impossible for me not to think of you too. So I will hold a beautiful memory of two people who lived their lives in harmony. May these memories bring your strength in the days ahead.

With love,

Sophie

Dear Melody:

Thank you for sending the update on your health. Your choices are terribly difficult but whatever you choose to do, I will help in whatever way I can. I don’t want to intrude on your privacy so I will wait to hear from you. If you need a ride to the doctor again, please call. I have extra chickens in the freezer so I can make a pot of chicken soup on short notice. In the meantime, I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.

Love, Tina

Dear Philip:

I’m sorry we have been out of touch these past few months. I just heard that you will be having surgery on Friday with follow up chemotherapy. I will call you when you are home and will be happy to bring a meal or keep you company. In the meantime, I will be thinking all good thoughts for you tomorrow.

Fondly,

Ashley
